Deltoides Dining Hall

Description

Deltoides is part of the scientific name for cottonwood.  I use it to create the mythical mountain village of Deltoides.  This building is at the heart of the village.  It is where all the faeries go to eat.

This artwork features a detailed wooden carving of a long house. The central focus is a door with an arched top, flanked by rectangular indentations that represent windows. The piece is notable for its intricate textured finish, which enhances the natural wood  and brings depth to the architectural details. Through minimal embellishment and a focus on fundamental forms, the carving captures the essence of a classic building front, blending stylistic simplicity with a deep appreciation for material texture and design.
