Steinn Heimr

Description

Steinn Heimr is carved from cottonwood bark and is  shaped like an elongated house with a steep, triangular roof. Its’ name translated from ancient Norse means Stone House. The structure features a small arched doorway at the base and three vertically aligned windows above it. The texture of the bark on the edges, is rock like and it  contrasts with the smoother carved sections that define the house’s architectural details. The tall, narrow form and the detailed windows and door create a quaint, miniature dwelling that blends natural wood textures with precise craftsmanship.
